Your Giving Back Profile is an opportunity to share the heart behind your organization and the difference you’re making in 417-land. Highlight your mission, the people you serve and the impact of your work, while giving readers meaningful ways to connect, get involved and support your cause. 

📅 Flexible placement throughout the year. 

Specialty Profiles are standalone features placed throughout 417 Magazine, with a maximum of two featured per issue. They are available in any issue throughout the year, giving you the flexibility to choose the timing that works best for your business.

What to Expect

  1. Schedule or submit your photography.
  2. Get started on your copy
  3. Our creative team creates and edits your profile.
  4. You'll receive a proof to review and approve before publication.
  5. Your profile is published in 417 Magazine.

Step 1 | Photography

As part of your partnership, we are happy to provide a complimentary professional photoshoot.

If you prefer to provide your own photography, please upload your files through your Client Portal or email them to your Account Coordinator.

Photo Specifications

  • High-resolution JPG, TIFF or PDF
  • Minimum 300 dpi
  • Original image whenever possible
  • CMYK color is preferred for print production

Photo Captions

  • Please identify everyone pictured.
    • Example: PICTURED, FROM LEFT: Jane Doe, President; John Smith, Vice President.

Photographer Credit

If submitting your own photography, please provide the photographer's name so proper credit can be included when applicable.

Please Note: Submitted photos may be cropped or adjusted to best fit the profile layout.

Photoshoot Availability
Complimentary photography is included with your partnership. Clients with a single profile will receive one complimentary photoshoot. For ongoing print partnerships, complimentary photography is available based on the length of your agreement:

  • 6-month print partnership: One complimentary photoshoot
  • 12-month print partnership: Two complimentary photoshoots

Additional photography sessions may be scheduled for an additional fee.

Option 1 | ✍️ Have Us Write Your Profile

Our editorial team is happy to write your profile for you. Simply complete the questionnaire below, and we'll use the information you provide to create an engaging editorial profile that reflects your organization while maintaining 417 Magazine's editorial style.

Option 2 | 🎤 Schedule a Copywriter Interview

Prefer to talk through your story? We'd be happy to interview you.

To schedule a phone interview with one of our copywriters, please contact your Account Coordinator. Your interview will be used to create an editorial profile that aligns with 417 Magazine's style and formatting guidelines.

Option 3 | 📝 Write Your Own Profile

You're welcome to submit your own profile using the word count guidelines for your profile size.

We recommend using the questionnaire below as a writing guide. The questions are designed to help you organize your content and align your profile with 417 Magazine's editorial style and storytelling approach.

To maintain an editorial tone, please:

  • Write in third person.
  • Avoid first-person language such as I, we, or our.
  • Follow the questionnaire as a guide to ensure your profile flows naturally.
  • Highlight your organization's leadership, impact and what sets you apart.

All submitted copy is edited by 417 Magazinefor clarity, consistency and style before proofing.  

Proof Approval

Before your profile goes to print, you'll receive a proof to review and approve. This is your opportunity to verify names, titles, copy and photography before publication.

Revision Requests

To help us deliver you profile on time, please review your proof carefully and submit all revisions together whenever possible. Each profile includes up to three revision requests prior to final approval. Additional revision requests may affect the production schedule and may not be accommodated.

💡Helpful Reminders

  • Layouts shown in examples are for reference and may vary based on the content submitted.
  • 417 Magazine reserves the right to request higher-quality materials when necessary to ensure the best possible reproduction.
  • If final materials are not received by the production deadline, previously approved materials may be used when applicable.

  • Photography: One high-quality image featuring up to 30 people

Full Page

  • Profile Copy: Up to 200 words, written in third person
  • Photography: One high-quality image featuring up to 15 people
